Our First UI / UX Design Project : A NEW SKILL ADDED

The nature of the business and its audience demands a versatile application, which turns out to be one of the easiest ways for the users to avail the service is "Mobile App". The interface and the user experience plays a vital role. The ultimate answer to approach towards preparing the app is to first design a prototype, which enables the clients to feel the experience the interface and its navigation without the coding are UI / UX. It is like a demo of a navigational guide for the clients to understand the interface and know the flow. It saves time and avoids lots of functionality issues, which generally occurs when it enters the development phase but with the help of UI / UX makes the development phase easier as UI / UX allows the client to finalize the interface and hence reducing the biggest hurdles of the development phase.

We use Adobe XD application. The application works like a wonder.

However, it requires diligent planning before one can start.

It’s all started three weeks back from the day they (Crux Power) approved it. They contacted AllGraphik via JustDial and we send the quotation they have asked for. We did follow up to know the status and they said it is higher than their budget. The success story

Part 1: The Task was to design a magazine of 40+ pages. Well its not a daunting task at all but with certain circumstances it became a little tight scheduled one. In addition to that we were designing a Magazine for the very first time. And so it was like Research, Learning and then Delivering the best were too the part of it. The pressure was NOT ONLY on AllGraphik to deliver its first magazine design BUT ALSO on the client as it was their first magazine to launch.

The list below were what we required from the client to start the design:

• Theme (Renewable Energy)
• Size of the Magazine
• What are the different Section of the magazine?
• Page Wise Section Sequence
• Contents and its relevant images.
• Advertisements Full Page( if any )
• ArtWork (If Any)

And once we got the requirements we started the design and our first concern was to create a framework - maintaining margin and contents panel. We succeeded to do this with the help of referring some important magazines and trying to understand some standards of how it has been designed.

The framework created at the start made it hassle-free even when there was some changes at the last hours and in an approx 50 work-hours the design was completed and after the proof reading and approval AllGraphik delivered the Magazine containing 44 pages successfully.

Part 2: In the first part we covered the journey of design phase and here we will share about the post design phase events.

The first thing we were waiting for was the Magazine print from the offset printer and when we saw the print it looked neat and complete. We were invited to the Inauguration ceremony and we felt very happy that the magazines were being distributed to everyone present at the venue and we started receiving positive feedbacks which gave us an ample idea of improving the design for magazines. We are delighted and excited to be the part of it.
